Mondovi is conveniently located by the entrance of Langhe.

Cultural Sites

Mondovì offers two small but authentic museums, one of the Ceramic and one of the Print.

In just one hour train, it's than possible to reach the city of Turin and its various museums, such as the Egyptian, the one of Cars, Cinema, Juventus and many others.

Mondovi’, beside its museums, offers various others cultural spots. Above all, the “Church of the Mission”, build for the Jesuits in XVII century, became famous for its paints, decorations and prospective features made by the artist Andrea Pozzo. At a few kilometres distance from the town, there is than the “Sanctuary of Vicoforte”, place of visit from faithful from all over the world, is the Worlds biggest elliptical dome.

Farmer's Street Market

Every Tuesdays and Saturdays morning, there is the local street market. Beside all the usual clothes and many other stuff, this market is quite famous for his fruit and vegetables section. In here, the goods are sold on the street directly from the farmers, ensuring the quality level and money value that made Italian food famous all over the world.

Leisure Activities

Few kilometres away from the town, we have the Alps Maritimes. Tracing the boarder with France, they go all the way to the sea.

During winter, the ski resorts of Lurisia, Prato Nevoso, Artesina and Frabosa, offer through their ski school, courses at every level, from beginners to advanced. There is also a Ski Park and entertainment made for children. In summer, the ski slopes become a Bike Park, for Mountain Bikes traditional and electric which can also be hired on site.

Bossea’s Caves

 

At short distance from the town, there are also the Caves of Bossea, recognised such as some of the most beautiful and important touristic italian caves. They can be visited as a tour with an experienced local guide.
